A Creative Social Innovator Ali(son) Smith and a career spanning more than 25 years her sole mission to help those marginalised in our society all over the planet, to better their lives. With a deep seated belief that creativity is the best tool to breakdown barriers, give opportunity and challenge some of today’s social issues. Ali, has designed international programmes, contributed to Government white papers, take an active role in a variety of steering committees, secured millions of pounds in funding and is also anl Ambassador for a major new Trust. After a successful career with the British Red Cross and Live Music Now, Ali founded a not-for-profit Community Interest business named Superact in 2006. She defined the business’ vision, CSR strategy, curated social impact programmes, sourced and secured strategic partnerships on a local, government and international level. Reaching over three million people, Superact won multiple awards – The 2014 UNESCO learning prize in Holland, The Royal Society for Public Health Awards for Art, The Koestler awards for Prison Art, ‘Best Patient Care’ award for the UK National Health Service, Ali has the support of the UK Department for International Trade, featuring in their 2016/17 Annual report and traveling to Bangkok in 2017 for the Launch of UMAA. Since September 2017 she has been an ambassador for HRH Princess Anne’s The Princess Royals Chaffinch Trust. This has already taken her to Lebanon and Thailand.
