The Academy’s program modules combine the experimental, investigative format of the lab and the theoretical, disseminative and discussion-oriented format of the lecture and centre around field studies.
ACTION RESEARCH LAB
Introduction to cross-disciplinary field of urban media art, including theory seminars, field trips, case studies and sessions on aesthetic inquiry, artistic and curatorial approach, and philosophy of space, time and context.
IDEATION LAB
In this module participants develop their artistic ideas, from idea to concept to project, gain an overview of the field of urban media art, its different infrastructures, global environments and communities.
PROJECT LAB
This lab facilitates the realisation, production and implementation of the art, as well as the communication, distribution and dissemination of project.
EVALUATION LAB
From evaluation of the change dimension of concrete artistic initiatives to discussion on how art can evaluate the values ingrained in and structuring society. In this lab we conduct combined practical and conceptual analysis that results in a published report.
